Happy Valentines Day.

Actually it's a day late but J would like to wish all of you who read his blog a very happy Valentines Day. J had a great day yesterday. Friday was his Valentines party at school. I got some really cute pictures. I'll have to post them for you a little later from the other computer. I'm using daddy's laptop right now. J got me a very cute card and a box of chocolate covered cherries, my favorite kind. We bought him his favorite dinner, Pizza. He chose a ham and pineapple pizza. He loved it.

On another note, he is out of school this week. It's preschool home visit week. Once again he got to bring the class hermit crabs home and "crabsit" them for the week while they are out of school. He absolutely loves taking care of those crabs, and so do I. I think we are going to be setting up our own crabitat and getting our own hermit crabs very soon. Probably next Saturday. J won on the names. He is going to name them Sally, McQueen and Mater. It will be fun. I'll be sure to get pictures and share them.

I'll post Valentine party pictures a little later.

Library Card

Today was J's field trip for this month. We went to the Library for story time and a puppet show. He had a great time. I haven't been to the Library in years. Boy has it changed, a lot. They have a whole new play area for the kids. I got both of us a Library Card. He picked out two books and checked them out all by himself. He was so proud of himself.

On another note, J has been doing really good lately with everything. He has had good days at school. His teacher said he is really starting to get along with his friends real well. He was having some problems there for a little while. We are so close to getting our hermit crabs. If J keeps doing so good, his teacher said we could bring the hermit crabs home again next week while the kids are out of school for home visit week. We are both excited. We were talking about names the other night. I want to name them Bambi, Thumper, and Flower. J wants to name them Sally, Lightening McQueen, and Mater. We'll see.

His 1st Real Valentines Day~

I took J shopping tonight to pick out his very first box of valentines for his party on Friday. It was a lot of fun. Boy valentines sure aren't what they used to be back in the days of my childhood. Everything has changed. He picked out some Scooby Doo cards. He's very excited about his party on Friday. He's excited that he gets to give all his friends a little gift in their bags that they made today at school. He's also excited because everyone gets to take some food to the party. It's fun to see him having so much fun and being so excited about things. I remember as a child, my parents always made me feel special on all the major holidays. I remember Valentines day being fun and Easter is right around the corner. J is at the age where he's wanting to know why we celebrate the holiday's that we do and it's fun to be able to explain to him what each one means. I'm really looking forward to this year with him. I just can see him growing and developing more and more every day and I thank God that I get to be the one to help him and guide him along on his journey called life.

I'll Meet You At Ice Cream~

J spent the afternoon playing with his grandpa who promised to take him to Dairy Queen on the way home. Since daddy and I had decided that we wanted some ice cream too, I called grandpa and told him to call when they were almost there and I would meet them at DQ. A little while later, the phone rang and a very tired but adorable voice on the other end said, "Uh, hi, I'll meet you at ice cream okay." It was so cute and sweet. By the time I got to DQ my dad was sitting there in his truck and J was sound asleep. I would say that someone had a pretty good day with his grandpa and his dog.

To The Park!

Well, the weather here has finally started warming up a bit so yesterday J and I packed up a bag of snacks, took a juice box or two and off to the park we went. We took his bike and he really had a great time. We got a great surprise when my cousin and her little boy showed up with a few extra friends to play with. J and my cousin's little boy are actually in preschool together so that was a fun surprise. They all had their bikes too. It was a lot of fun. I took my camera to take pictures but got busy talking to my cousin and her friend who was there so I didn't get any. J was even wearing his new Mickey Mouse jacket that his Nana and Papa sent him for Christmas. Until now it's been so cold he has had to wear his heavy coat. He was so excited to wear his new jacket.

I'm glad it's almost spring. I am looking forward to spending a lot of time outside this year. I want to spend as much play time as I can with my boy. I can't believe he's almost five already and will be in Kindergarten next fall. Wow, how time flies when you are having fun.
