"I Just Can't Take It Anymore!!"

That's what J said to me just a little while ago when I told him he couldn't go play outside or have any friends over because of him and I both being sick. He is just such a social bug and is already upset because he missed Church this morning. That makes two weeks in a row that he's missed Church and he hates that. We baked some yummy Blueberry Bread while Daddy was at church. J helped and that seemed to help some, for a little while anyway. He enjoyed a piece when it was done and then watched a cartoon for a little while, but is starting to become agitated. I need to go find some things to keep him busy today. Thing is that he wont stay engaged in one thing for very long.

Pray for us, it's going to be a long day here at the Dauk house.

Kindergarten Update

J's first week of Kindergarten is over and things are getting better. There are still things that he doesn't like but he's slowly getting accustomed to it. The one single thing he dislikes the most is the separation of the primary and intermediate playgrounds. He just does NOT think it's fair that he can't go play on the bigger toys because after all, HE"S NOT A BABY ANYMORE!

Yesterday he got his big wish that he's wanted since school started, GRANDMA picked him up from school. Not only that but he got to go home with grandma AND have a sleepover. J got to have a sleepover because mommy has a double ear infection/sinus infection and is not feeling too well. He also got to go up and get a load of wood with his Grandpa and Great Uncle Lynn today. J absolutely LOVES spending time with his U. Lynn. It's funny when I try to tell him that he was my U. Lynn first, and that's why he's here to be J's uncle now. J gets so mad at me. NO SIR MOM!! God said he is MY uncle Lynn, not yours. I ask him when God told him this and he tells me "When I lived with him." Okay.... I guess I can't really argue with that. Plus U. Lynn takes him fishing!!! What a cool Uncle Lynn he has. I really hope he has a good weekend with Grandma and Grandpa. Life here at home would be so boring with mom being so sick this weekend. I that God that my parents live so close and that J has such a close relationship with them.

Second Day of Kindergarten

J had his second day of kindergarten today. I really can't tell if he likes school this year or not. He keeps telling me that he wishes he could go back and be with Miss Loni, his preschool teacher. She was so good with him. He had her as a teacher for a year and a half. Change is really hard for J. He had kind of a hard weekend after his first day last Friday. He's just not the same little boy that he was before Kindergarten. Please pray for him, Pray for me. I'm not sure what we're going to do but I do know that God will NEVER NEVER Leave nor Forsake us, He has plans to make us prosper and not to harm us. That's why I Love my Lord and Savior so Much!!

It's been a while

Hello to all of you who may read my blog. As you can tell, things around here have been not only busy but down right crazy. A lot of things are going on in the Dauk household these days. First and most importantly, my baby, my little J-bug, my now Big Boy, started Kindergarten last Friday. I'm tellin' ya, I cried for an entire week, maybe more. And the day he actually went to school.....Oh my gosh! He was the one hugging me and telling me not to cry. As he was patting my back he said, "It's okay Mama, don't cry. You can see me again in a little while. I'll pretend to be your little baby when I get home if you want me too." What a guy!!!

As for Bobby and I, we are just so busy doing our thing. Bobby is hard a work with his families that he works with. He is a Resource Consultant for a Home School program. He really likes it but this is his busiest time of the year for him. Me, I have been doing nothing but Camp stuff. I just got back today actually from a camp up at Camp Cedaredge for the Foster/Adopt families for MCDHS. It was actually a really wild weekend but all turned out well. I was also able to talk to the Director of Camp Cedaredge about doing our Royal Family Kids' Camp up there. Very exciting stuff.

I'll try to post more often, but I'm not promising anything.
